Projects:
my digital portfolio
Welcome to my digital media portfolio! I am excited to share my passion for graphic design and video editing with you. As a prospective college student, I understand the importance of showcasing one's skills in a creative and hopefully professional way. Let's get started on this journey!
Blue Jay
This was the first piece of art I made that really made me start to think of Graphic Design as a possible career path. We were given an assignment in my high school Graphic Design class to layer dozens of tiny shapes on top of an animal of our choosing. It came out far better than anything I could have imagined.

Triangle Text
This was one of the first assignments I received while taking an online Graphic Design course with Syracuse University. For this assignment, the goal was to simply think of a word, and make a font that represents that word. I thought that it would be interesting if I took the word "triangle" and simply make it out of smaller triangles.

Tendo Thumbnail
Before I was even considering Graphic Design as a career path, I was making thumbnails for YouTube videos about the platforming game Geometry Dash for myself and occasionally others. I started by making thumbnails in a free program called paint.net, but for my birthday one year I was given Photoshop and it allowed me to take my thumbnails to the next level, and truly make something of which I was proud.

Initials as a Logo

I decided it would be fun to design my own logo. I came up with 8 designs, but the one that stuck out, and ended up being my final choice, was to make my initials form a pen in the act of drawing. To add a little more personality, I added a favorite color combination (red and purple) to the mix.
Switzerland Emblem
Another high school assignment was to create an emblem logo, which means our design had to fit entirely within a border that we set for ourselves. Since Switzerland is one of my favorite places I've had the pleasure of visiting, I decided to use that as a starting point for a unique logo that has elements of the country inside it, such as the Swiss cross, the flag and an alpine peak as well.

FISH FISH GODMODE Thumbnail
Yes, I am aware of the absurdity of the title. This is another one of my many Geometry Dash thumbnails. I put a lot of various effects in the thumbnail in order to communicate to the viewer the level's vibrant colors and absurd nature, such as the curving of the text and the oddly colored gradient.

How Drugs Hurt You
In this project, my instructor at Syracuse University asked us to produce a poster that highlighted a social problem and bring awareness to it. I wanted to do a poster that highlighted the problems of drugs, and how badly the effect can be on one's lifespan. I used a glitchy and unstable font to give a sort of distorted feel and used the little figures fading out in order to show how drugs shorten your life.

We Are NOT The Same
In this school assignment, we were given the task of creating any form of book cover, movie poster or album cover - either from an existing one, or from your own original idea. I decided to go with the latter of those two options, and create a custom album cover for a collaboration where two completely different people work together on a recording. To represent the different people, I created the upper portion with a space theme and the lower part with more of a dark/hell feel, as well as making the line crumble apart to indicate disorder the closer you get to the hell side.
Cold Sweat Thumbnail
This is by far my favorite thumbnail I've made around Geometry Dash, as I'm not only happy with how it came out, but also I felt I captured the feel of the level. This level uses a specific kind of effect to create intensity as you progress and I feel I managed to implement that on to the text.

Cardinal
Even though my Graphic Design class required us to make only one animal in this layered style, I enjoyed the assignment so much that I decided to make a second one with the time I had remaining. Since I thought the Blue Jay was quite beautiful with its colors, I decided to go with another bird that has a very distinct color: The Cardinal.
